  ABN AMRO BANK (Malaysia)
Deepa Liza George
Deputy Head, Human Resources

ACT Training conducted a customised program on Leadership Communications for the Senior Management Team members of ABN AMRO Bank in Malaysia in mid-November 2001. The group had a mixed composition of senior sales personnel, product specialists, and support function individuals, yet Paula (Paula Marcondes) was able to align the group and bring them together with a common focus on enhancing our collective leadership ability.

Activities were fun to say the least and time passed all too quickly. Key learning points included the need to stop and check one’s emotional state before carrying on as well as portraying a sense of confidence, which, in turn, translates to confidence in one’s ability by others. All participants went away with at least one major learning point from the program although it was held over 2 days. The facilitator was candid yet tactful in feedback, which was taken very well by all participants. The opportunities to hone our skills were quite abundant, be it from presentation skills to facilitating group activities and discussions.

This program is recommended for companies interested in uptiering their already existent leadership team skills while also useful for new leaders, as it can be customised for either junior or senior levels of management.
