April 17-18 Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills

How well one operates within organizations through communication and interactions determines one’s ability to reduce conflict and increase participation or assistance in obtaining information or completing tasks.

The ability to operate well through communication and interactions is especially relevant within today’s complex and competitive business world. It is the foundation on which organizations and careers are built.

This program allows you to identify and adapt your communication style to the one of others. Your ability to listen and comprehend the intention and message behind the words used by others will be improved.

You will learn about the causes of communication breakdowns and how to bridge them. We will also explore how one person’s behavior can affect a whole roomful of people, and how to choose your words with care for maximum effect, both in person and on the phone. Negotiation skills is a life-long competency applicable across a huge spectrum of business and personal situations.

This is an essential program for individuals who are prepared to take a definite step towards achieving their full potential both professionally and personally.

This program includes the QO2 Personality Profile Instrument from Team Management Systems (TMS) in Australia. This profile is an essential tool in assisting and guiding participants to assess and gain awareness of their existing (1) mood induction, (2) goal setting, (3) expectation management, (4) problem-solving abilities and (5) time-line focus.

Powerful Business Writing enables you to achieve your objectives and connect with the reader through any writing style or document by equipping you with the skills, tools and distinctions necessary to:

- adopt language that is correct, appropriate and impactful
- prepare memos, letters, reports and proposals that are easy to read, strategic, clear and concise

October 16-17 Managing Upset Customers Constructively and Learning from Service Breakdowns

Service breakdowns will always occur, no matter how well you do your job. The good news is that service breakdowns are a fantastic opportunity to build customer loyalty and propel the company forward! This is true as long as you know how to manage upset customers and how to get first-hand customer information and use it for improvements in products and services.

This seminar enables service interface staff and service supervisors to better manage themselves and upset customers, take control of the situation by being assertive as opposed to being passive / aggressive and learn from mistakes and breakdowns.

At this seminar, you will learn:
• the hierarchy of customers’ expectations and manage the impact of customers’ expectations have on the perceived level of service

November 6-7Providing Superior Service Over the Telephone

This program is about providing superior service, building relationships with clients, and projecting a positive image for yourself and for the organization on the telephone.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
• Project a positive image for yourself and the company on the telephone
• Increase job enjoyment and service standards by increasing your connection with your customers
• Understand and consistently apply superior service standards on the telephone
• Apply simple and effective techniques to control, interrupt and manage telephone calls
• Turn around difficult situations and interact with upset callers in a professional and polite manner
• Demonstrate good telephone etiquette in the work environment

Please note: Due to the nature of the various programs offered, different minimum and maximum class size will apply.

Class size and program length is intended to provide crucial time for each participant to assimilate the concepts covered, find clarity about personality aspects and behaviors which they want to “keep” or “change” and develop a clear and measurable development plan.

Fee Early registration fee: 10% discount off registration fee for registrations and payment received 1 month prior to scheduled workshop date.

Group registration for 3 or more participants registering together: 15% discount off registration fee for registrations and payment received 1 month prior to scheduled workshop date.

*Fees include venue, workbook, writing material and 2 breaks.
Closing Date 2 weeks before scheduled workshop date or when class is full, whichever is earlier


Registration and Payment

1. Upon receipt of your email/fax registration, an acknowledgement will be sent to you.

2. No cancellation or withdrawal will be entertained, however replacements will be allowed.

4. Training venue is subject to change.

5. ACT Training International Pte. Ltd reserves the right to replace assigned workshop facilitator with a suitable and qualified facilitator.

6. Seats will only be confirmed on a first come first served basis and subject to space availability, upon receipt of payment.

7. All cheques/bank drafts must be made payable to “ACT Training International Pte. Ltd”, crossed and marked 'A/C payee only'. Please send your payment with a copy of the registration form.

8. We do not accept payments via credit cards. Payment via wire/telegraphic transfer is available – please contact us for details.

9. To qualify for the early registration fee, payment must reach ACT Training 1 month prior to the scheduled workshop date. All other payment must be received 2 weeks prior to the scheduled workshop date.

10. Program Postponement or Cancellation

• ACT Training International Pte. Ltd reserves the right to postpone or cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, and a 100% refund will be made.

• Postponement of training programs in full or part due to any Act of God, including but not restricted to black-rain warning or typhoon signal number 8 or above being hoisted, will be treated as a postponement, and any outstanding portion of the program will be rescheduled.
